Gameplay First Game Jam
Overview
In 2022, I joined the Game Jam planning committee. The committee decided to rebrand the annual unofficial Blizzard Game Jam, so I took the lead on this part of the planning.

Process Led namestorming activities for the branding, conducting the activities primarily in Google Sheets with async voting on the new Gameplay First game jam series name and domain (gameplayfirst.games). Designed the website to incorporate the mascot created by Glen Chang (Diablo IV).
Features
Signing Up
Previous jams relied on spreadsheets and a lot of manual work to find and assign teams to participants. For this jam, we decided to create a website with a simple interface where users could sign up, create, and find teams and team members for each jam.
Game Jam Details
On the details page for each jam, participants can view all the teams that have joined, create or manage their own team, or join a team. Each jam details page can be customized with a logo and background image to reflect the year’s theme.
Accessibility
Although I was not able to put as much time into accessibility as I would prefer, I did ensure all major interactive elements in the design met contrast requirements, and primary and secondary colors were easy to differentiate using the Colorblind plugin for Figma and WebAIM’s contrast checker.
