Starseeker
Taking and giving tours around campus is tricky - statues move around periodically, and remembering where everything is and what's available for friends & family to see during their visits is very difficult. To solve this, my hackathon team created a prototype of our app called Starseeker. Named after a cartographer from Hearthstone, this app would help visitors and tour guides to navigate and collect points of interest around campus.
Gameplay First Game Jam
The unofficial Blizzard Game Jam, run by a volunteer committee, needed a site for participants to sign up, find, and manage their teams. We also decided to rebrand the jam series from “Game Jam” to “Gameplay First” to honor one of our company’s most cherished values.
KrogerVision AR
Retailers have been struggling to find a truly useful way to incorporate AR into their shopping experiences for years. We decided to keep it simple and provide value to our customers with supplemental info and bright, bold call-outs of important and helpful information - like allergens, calorie counts, or recommended pairings.
Technician App
The DMG app, previously known as InPosition, is how DMG's techs interact with the service. In rethinking this product, we wanted to remain focused on what techs really want: Get in, Get work, Get paid.
Guided Invoicing
DMG's Provider Invoicing process was outdated visually and highly manual. The CEO wanted desperately to update the UI with a more conversational approach. I worked closely with the PO and eventual Director of Product to completely overhaul the UI based on her vision.
Project Fermi
An idea borne of frustration with the status quo. The all-encompassing product design tool for designers by designers. Check back weekly for updates to the prototype as I create it in real-time!
EDGE Website
To support this push into international markets, we needed multilingual support and a place for our video content and testimonials. I designed and developed these new features in a quick 2 week sprint.
Menu Boards
Kroger created a small, inexpensive, energy-efficient media player (think Chromecast) to display images, videos, and other media in various places throughout the store. The primary use case was for displaying branding and menus for the newly expanded in-store dining stalls. I was tasked with designing a very simple tool for managing content, installing the devices, and keeping track of installed devices and their health.
EDGE Shelf Viewer
This very quick and dirty design was intended as a ultra-MVP for a simple tool that would allow administrative staff at Sunrise to manage the EDGE shelves in store - installing, checking their status, managing and seeing in real time what content is displaying on each one. Many of the core features of this web app were intended to be phased out, such as the manual content management. These features were handled through the LEAP interface when its auto-publish features were released.
High Five Me
The Ignite team wanted to create an app that Kroger associates could use to give each other recognition and boost morale. We came up with the idea of a "High 5 Me" app which would allow people to earn badges by giving and receiving kudos from their coworkers and supervisors. Some achievements could earn them real rewards, like real enamel pins they can collect, money to spend on swag at the Kroger store, and other prizes.
