This very quick and dirty design was intended as a ultra-MVP for a simple tool that would allow administrative staff at Sunrise to manage the EDGE shelves in store - installing, checking their status, managing and seeing in real time what content is displaying on each one. Many of the core features of this web app were intended to be phased out, such as the manual content management. These features were handled through the LEAP interface when its auto-publish features were released.
I initially designed the experience in the JustInMind prototyping tool since that was Kroger Technology’s tool of choice. However, once I became a full-time Sunrise Technology resource, I redesigned the entire app from the ground up in Adobe XD. I was able to create a much more elegant and user-friendly app in this tool.
Fortunately, the dev I was working with and I had developed a very easy way of working together, and I was able to communicate the changes by creating high fidelity prototypes of the most dramatically affected screens and a user flow. The color scheme was informed by the brand guidelines created by Intrinzic, a local marketing firm.
