High Five Me

Overview

The Ignite team wanted to create an app that Kroger associates could use to give each other recognition and boost morale. We came up with the idea of a "High 5 Me" app which would allow people to earn badges by giving and receiving kudos from their coworkers and supervisors. Some achievements could earn them real rewards, like real enamel pins they can collect, money to spend on swag at the Kroger store, and other prizes.

Role UI Design

Time frame 8 weeks

Tools & method Adobe Illustrator. Co-creation with Director of Communications and 2 developers

Process I worked with the Director of Communications for Kroger Technology to pin down the requirements for our first iteration of this app. It was going to be developed in the Ionic framework, so I kept the design very quick and simple to implement as this was a "side of desk" project for the team. Using the Material guidelines as they were published at the time (mid 2017), I was able to quickly assemble the majority of the interface for the developers to begin work within 8 weeks. I produced a simple, PDF styleguide for them to follow to help streamline their front-end development efforts.
